srijit 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2005 Hello everyone, i got a small prob. my father is thinking of stopping his BSNL prepaid service. citing that its costing too much. We also have a BSNL landline at home. So i was wondering if we take a Fixed terminal of Reliance and also a reliance mobile, wud it be better in any way. i reliaze that there is not much data, bcoz i cant predict my fathers calling habits, but he goes thru a 331rs recharge in 2 weeks the landline costs approx 1500 for 2 months. so taking this data into consideration, can anyone suggest a good combo... Fixed terminal + (prepaid / postpaid) if prepaid... what amount? also handset info or suggestions wud be helpful. thanks in advance
Arun 795 Report post Posted January 23, 2005 Well, that needs more information regarding your usage pattern like number of STD/local calls, RIM to RIM calls, internet usage and SMS per month.

deepu 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2005 I think it will be better to keep the landline as such...(Rs. 1500 in two months is not that bad!!) Perhaps change the prepaid BSNL to a postpaid one... Does not make sense if he is using up his recharge voucher in two weeks... Its up to you to choose the provider.. If you want to go for Reliance, then you will have to buy a new mobile!!! Arun 795 Report post Posted January 25, 2005 So it seems yo have more calls to GSM operators and no calls to RIM. In that case RIM isn't economical for you as you will benefit only if more calls are made to RIM numbers. Anyway, try out the Reliance FWP as its bettet than BSNL landpone nowadays.
