KumaarShah 143 Report post Posted January 22, 2011 For migrating my RCDMA to RGSM, I was offered the following: - I will continue in RGSM with my ARP 1194 plan which I took about 1.5 months back. I will also get Rs 100 worth free calling for 6 months. All other benefits on RCDMA will get carried to new RGSM. I am changing my Aircel postpaid to RGSM prepaid because of bad network.already submitted forms.kept complianing for 6 months but no improvement. 2.Sent MNP SMS from old RCDMA prepaid .Recieved call from CC and asked reason for porting.I told them data plans are costly.CC didnot reply to that. 3.Send MNP SMS from RGSM. Recieved call from CC and asked reason for porting.I told them network fluctuation.CC promised network issue will be solved in 48 hours not to switch. But it's a mirage and not Truly Unlimited...Only First 5 GB Data at EVDO Speed and then 1x... sajokj 8 Report post Posted January 23, 2011 For me its time to say Good bye to Loop mobile in Mumbai and Shift to IDEA. Loop network is very bad in Airoli, Navi Mumbai Area. I stay in Airoli. Its very bad to see that They never care their customers. I tried complaining to them many times. After 24 hours I will get an SMS saying your issue is sorted. That is all. Check it first before you shift, because now you are cribbing for bad Loop network in Airoli, later on you may have to do the same for Idea too (if its not proper there). I am an Idea customer for past one and half years. Work near CST. Idea network is excellent in south Mumbai, but when I enter my office, it goes blank. There is no network on the ground floor and the lift. I tried complaining to Idea several times, they acknowledged the problem, but have not provided any solution to that. Whereas, when I checked in office, I found Vodafone, Airtel, Loop, RCDMA networks excellent. Hence I am now moving to RCDMA. GSM requires more towers than CDMA. Hence it's not necessary that your CDMA & GSM signals are coming from same tower. EDGE speed is also more sporadic in nature, in the sense you may get such speeds intermittently but never consistently. Enjoy the luck you've got...............
