KapilAgrawal 340 Report post Posted January 24, 2011 I think you're the luckiest then. For an average GSM user, he'll never get such a speed. EDGE speed is also more sporadic in nature, in the sense you may get such speeds intermittently but never consistently. Enjoy the luck you've got............... I agree with you that average GSM user wont get speeds above 5-7 KBps but I personally feel GSM oprators have increased available bandwidth & urgraded towers as well for launch of 3G. Even Docomo is giving good EDGE speed now a days. Thanks
Ankitman 3 Report post Posted January 24, 2011 I sent a porting sms and got my code... Today, after three days, got a call from Reliance asking me why do I wanna shift!! I had no valid reason since I am on DAPO, but still told them that its because of your data charges and the fact that my bill has been coming to around 1400 every month.. He immediately offered me a discount of 100 Rs. per month for the next six months so that I stay on with Reliance. I have confirmed the same to him, but since my office pays for my bills, it doesn't really make a difference to me!! I am thinking I should have asked for pizza for the next six months :Contento: :Contento:

I think when you have taken advance rental plan you are contractually bind to RCOM for the period and they will not offer this plan.

srk006 21 Report post Posted January 25, 2011 ^ you can get the UPC and not go to a new service provider. The UPC will expire after 15 days and you can continue on your current network.
confused_follower 12 Report post Posted January 25, 2011 can we make just porting request & cancel the same if we get good retention offer? Yes even after filling up all forms at new operator you can go back and tell you want to cancel the request within couple of days. But not sure how many operators will actually entertain such cancelation
srk006 21 Report post Posted January 25, 2011 ^ once documents are submitted to your recipient operator, you have to place cancellation request within 24 hours.
