Nokia 6225 has Irda support but net connection of IrDa s**ks. When mobiles with bluetooth are launched (Nokia 6255, etc.), you may get freedom from wires. Devesh 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2005 Can u tell me about more on internet with irda. means is it slower then as we do it with wires or does it breaks frequently or what? 25361[/snapback] The max speed of IrDa data transfer is 115 kbps and yes connection is liable to get disconnected frequently. It better being wired till we have blue tooth enabled handsets. If you are using a laptop, the PCMCIA card which Reliance is offering is a good option to be wirefree, however they are charging too much for a dumb PCMCIA modem. You may refer to the link below for more information: http://www.relianceinfo.com/Infocomm/Rim/rconnect_card.html
Mukul 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2005 I have Nokia 3205, connecting to PC through IRDA is good but Nokia does not provide good Software to connect to PC for using Modem...I'll suggest you stick to Data Cables only they cheap and best option at the present...
