Which Handsets Support Internet Via Irda Port?

i m tired of using wired serial or usb data cable. i dont know why but they develop some cracks inside and dont work after some time. so i need a wireless way to do internet. can anyone suggest anything

If you are using Reliance, you are stuck with wires for some time. Nokia 6225 has Irda support but net connection of IrDa s**ks.

When mobiles with bluetooth are launched (Nokia 6255, etc.), you may get freedom from wires.

Can u tell me about more on internet with irda. means is it slower then as we do it with wires or does it breaks frequently or what?

The max speed of IrDa data transfer is 115 kbps and yes connection is liable to get disconnected frequently. It better being wired till we have blue tooth enabled handsets.

If you are using a laptop, the PCMCIA card which Reliance is offering is a good option to be wirefree, however they are charging too much for a dumb PCMCIA modem.

I have Nokia 3205, connecting to PC through IRDA is good but Nokia does not provide good Software to connect to PC for using Modem...I'll suggest you stick to Data Cables only they cheap and best option at the present...

OK but may be if relaince lauches good blue tooth handset then i may go for them beuase i m craving to be wireless. 2 wires have broekn in year dont know why , they get craced in bewteen.
