Please Say That Legal Or Not

First of all please forgive me if the post is wrong.

i planned to upload ringtones to Reliance HandSets Commercially in my shop at reasonable charge by giving advt.

Since some knowledged persons can do themself, other people can't even from R-world.

My Question is Whether that job is legal or not ?. Where can I get proper details? Please clarify my doubt.

Doing that kind of service for commecrial purposes/benefit may land you in trouble.

There is no harm in a commercial venture for Ringtones provided you have copyrights for the songs with explicit permission to convert them to ringtones and sell the ringtones for profit.

such kinda things if to be done shud be done discreetly jus thru word of mouth publicity and no other big-time publicity. otherwise it will land u into trouble.

If u charge them to download ringtones form r world its ok. but if u use software and load the ringtone then its legally if u have proper liscences and rights over those ringtones and that will prove tooo costly. as advised above use mouth pulibity and mostly do it for frineds or persons in ur contact or in a chain and dont do it for unknown persons becuase previously relaince has launched various drive to catch people converting relaince phones to tata and for people cloning relaince phones. thought if u have a v v v v v v v big market or can run a big racket then its ok but then also when rworld will give new ringtones and indiatimes is there whihc gives a ringtone for rs.10 or so is that all beneficial. I SUGGEST KEEP AWAY FROM ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES.

Man if you start providing it for profit you will land yourself in trouble, as its not only reliance network that you would be questioned about but you would be scritinised for many other things such as Registerd copy of softwares, Ist smtp registeration copy right of the ringtone that you will sent etc. etc. etc. i being a professional in practice and having evaluated all pros and cons will never recommend to commercialize it.

yeah,

uploading it or sending it as an mms for personal purposes should not be illegal, i guess....
