Arun 795 Report post Posted April 4, 2011 I just noticed that the tariff mentioned in the website shows reduced cost for the Reliance Netconnect+ Broadband plans which were different a week ago. So it looks like the prepaid tariff has been reduced and it certainly looks better than the postpaid plans now:
confused_follower 12 Report post Posted April 4, 2011 (edited) it certainly looks better than the postpaid plans now add to it the big fat service tax component on the post-paid bill Edited April 4, 2011 by confused_follower

ACS 130 Report post Posted April 4, 2011 last time i had taken 18GB @ Rs. 3000 with 6 months validity.. hardly had any usage so downloaded some movies towards the end. That plan rate hasn't reduced, looks like will have to go for something like 350MB @ Rs. 250 for 1 month.. does my job !

Greens 21 Report post Posted April 6, 2011 Is this tariff applicable for Prepaid Mobile EVDO ?
starnet 7 Report post Posted April 6, 2011 Still the cost is way too high when compared to MTNL's 6 month unlimited for Rs 4500 or Vodafone's Rs 599 per month for unlimited in Mumbai or Rs 899 for unlimited in Delhi. MTNL has 200 GB cap and Vodafone has no cap on downloads. Reliance netconnect+ should be cheaper because they have not paid for spectrum in auction and download speeds on their network here in Delhi are dead slow. ujjwalsarin 9 Report post Posted April 15, 2011 A good alternative is to use a EVDO handset as USB modem. Top up with core TT for low usage and use a data pack for high usage. Option 2 is a EVDO modem (chinese/open market) with OMH RUIM and plans
Arun 795 Report post Posted April 15, 2011 Interesting that they can limit EVDO speed to 384kbps from their side!
ujjwalsarin 9 Report post Posted April 15, 2011 Who can limit speed to 384 kbps ? RCOM ?. are they doing it for mobile EVDO customers
KanagaDeepan 1,084 Report post Posted April 15, 2011 WOW... EV-DO plans with MAXIMUM speed of 150kbps... Even EDGE of Videocon is having better speeds and comes with Rs96 STV for unlimited EDGE data for a month... Must be the work of Trojan horses Ex-AirHELL guys in RCom... kkdeep 6 Report post Posted April 15, 2011 They should have 500 MB to 1GB for low usage customers. It can be with lower speed but price should be within Rs 100. That kind of plan will make sense for lot of casual users.
Arun 795 Report post Posted April 15, 2011 I suppose there will be a difference in the browsing experience on EVDO limited to 150 kbps and on 1x with technical maximum of 144 kbps. The connectivity over EVDO will be more steady.

ssr 10 Report post Posted July 18, 2011 Well, I wanted to move from my existing 1x unlimited plan to EVDO (few GB in 3.1Mbps and rest as unlimited 1x). and the new EVDO plans looks to be rediculously overpriced. Is the 200rs discount only for new customers?
