manishag 17 Report post Posted April 5, 2011 I have one airtel prepaid number which lifetime validity which is more then 5 years old. i forgot to recharge the number for 6 months because of that Airtel Permanently disconnected the number on March 30th 2011. they didn't even took pain to inform me before disconnecting the number because of non-recharge condition. I visited the Airtel Customer Center and they simply replaced the SIM and told me that my number is still active only my SIM is defective. they also confirmed that my number will be active with in 4 hours. but even after 24 hours when my number didn't got active I visited the Customer center and they confirmed me that my number got permanently disconnected and i cannot get the number again. i contacted the Airtel Nodal and the appleate authority and they confirmed that this number can not be activated again and number has been issued to someone else. where as this number was issued to someone. finally I visited the Airtel Brand Store of NCR. manishag 17 Report post Posted April 7, 2011 from this issue i have learned that they are least informed because when i visited one of the Airtel Customer Center 1st they refuse to accept that my number is disconnected infact they changed my sim twice after 3 days they accepted that number is disconnected and there they refuse to issue me the number again. where as an employee over there told me that it's possible to get the number again because he already had same issue in reliance and he manage to get the number again but he didn't knew the process in Airtel if it exists at all.
