Facing Unusual Problems In Using 32 GB Micro SDHC Card

Recommended Posts

hiii to all gurus of rimweb

i have bought one 32gb micro sdhc card through ebay in which i am facing many strange issues which i am telling you:

1.When i was foramtting it i found the space 8mb only formatting and for that reason i returned it twice to the seller, now i got the card 3rd time in which till now i have uploaded only 8 gb data which is working fine but i can't transfer those data through bluetooth and data cable.iI can use only the adaptor to transfer it.

2.Whenever i try to get data thorugh frds mobile via bluetooth it fails to accept.

3. I am using motorola droidX and whenever i am trying to download anything through net in the mobile it says that please insert a memory card.

4.Whenever i am taking any pic through the camera aur the application FX camera it saves the picture of Fx camera only that too till the time i don't take the battery out bcause as soon as i remove the battery from cell and restart it all the saved photo are deleted by itself.

5.One thing which i noted down that they had written on the card kingston 32gb micro sdhc card class 4 but when i rub that one it removed completely, seems it is not the original kingston card.

here is the link:http://cgi.ebay.in/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230592127126&ssPageName=ADME:L:COSI:IN:1123#ht_500wt_1156

Guys and gurus please help me especially for that pic saving issue.

Thanks

probably a fake card.

try testing actual capacity with this

http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Miscellaneous/H2testw.shtml

it is possible to show a 1gb card as 32gb or whatever capacity u want.

only way to test if it is of true capacity is to try write and read it.

beware it takes long time ! run on night and goto sleep

If you try to upload files above 8 GB are they getting overwritten and corrupt? Looks like fake to me. Open an E-Bay dispute immediately.

Its fake memory card. Never ever buy memory cards from ebay or unreliable vendors. Globally majority of cards sold are fake, not necessarily fake capacity.

the seller has other 32GB card buyer for whom he had replaced the card (read his feedback).. It seems this is a commom problem with his cards.

There is no doubt card is not genuine. Its better to get refund. buy a new card.

Abhishek,

If you paid by Paypal

1. Login to your account

2. Click on My Account tab

3. Go to Resolution Center

4. Click on Report a Problem tab

5. Select Item Dispute

See http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/tp/problems-dispute-resolution.html for details.

Please file the complaint immediately and in your dispute description mention that you have already twice returned the card to seller due to incorrectly described item and the third time also the card is fake.

Abhishek ji... I think you are a victim of FAKE MicroSD card, most probably (99.99%) from China...

Last week I read an article about "Ultra Cheap FAKE Portable 500GB HDD <<With SAMSUNG name>> actually with 128MB USB-stick + TWO BIG BOLTS INSIDE :rofl_200: "

The story I am about to retell you starts in China. Some guy finds a really cheap portable 500GB USB hard drive in a store there. He buys one after he has it tested in the shop.

How do you spot fake Chinese USB hard drives? Well, you take them apart

Then he goes home (in Russia) and starts filling it with data. But the drive doesn’t seem to work properly. You upload a movie on it, and you can only play just a few minutes from it. Why?

Here is what the guys at the near repair shop found out.

Instead of proper hard drive platters, the USB hard drive in question had a 128MB flash drive inside that works in loop mode. It writes data until it’s out of memory and then it starts from the beginning replacing the previous records. Add two nuts for proper weight and reprogram the drive’s firmware to report to the computer OS there are actually 500GB on it and you have yourself a fake disk drive.

It fools the user that the files in there are OK. You can see your files on the drive (because the controller writes a false file system), but actually there are just a few bytes of each file.

The conclusion – be careful when you buy cheap Chinese electronics wherever you are.

Victim of this myself with fake pendrive.

This is ingenuious, do not know whether to laugh or cry at the brilliance of this idea.
