omitav 2 Report post Posted May 3, 2011 Hello all After an eternity my uncle has finally bought a new phone, since he couldn't get a new battery for the RD 2340 :-) But now the problem is in getting his address book from the old phone into a new phone. I've looked around but couldn't find a working cable for connecting the LG RD 2340 to the PC. Would anyone know which cable fits the phone? and where could I get it? If someone can loan me the cable, I will make sure I return it to you in pristine condition. Any help would be highly appreciated - coz otherwise my uncle will make me manually type 800 contacts from the old phone in to the new one :-(((( and i really don't want to do that. KumaarShah 143 Report post Posted May 4, 2011 Mr. Rao, AFAIK, LG ASC may not do PB Transfer if both the mobiles are not LG.... They can give a CD (or even email you) containing the Excel or CSV format... @OMitav, AFAIK, I think any USB or even non-USB cable supporting the older LG mobiles will work in your case. Look/Ask around, some of your neighbours will be definitely using a LG Mobile. I have used many models of LG and found that the same USB cable supports even my FWP LG LSP350R as well as all my LG Mobiles (except the oldest RD 2030) including RD6000. Try it out, it should work. Alternately, you can ask LG ASC to give you a PB Backup in Excel format or CSV format, you can then use the file to transfer from your computer or laptop to your new mobile.
