rajanmehta 4,056 Report post Posted May 14, 2011 MTNL Mumbai Introduces New UNLIMITED Broadband Plans With Time Based Speed MTNL has come up with a curious mix match of new Unlimited Broadband Plans. They have tried to provide Unlimited Plans without any FUP with varying speed based on time. Speeds are higher during Night (10 PM to 8 AM ) and on Sundays. Plan Cost looks competitive to attract both low volume users & heavy downloaders with the same plans. Plans are effective from 15-5-2011 and there is no CPE rental on this plans. It has also introduced following two new Landline+Broadband Combo Plans.
dkaile 1,051 Report post Posted May 14, 2011 I'm really fed up of Airtel FUP and have given them disconnection request today, as they are not ready to change my FUP. However such above plans are not available on MTNL yet; maybe they will follow suit soon;
rajanmehta 4,056 Report post Posted May 14, 2011 ^ ^ ^ There is an ISP in Hyderabad called Beam Fiber which provides the following unlimited plans...Of course they are with FUP... But see the cost, FUP & speed after FUP B-MAX Rs 400- 512kbps-20Gb FUP- Speed After FUP 256kbps. B-MAX Rs 600- 1 Mbps- 20Gb FUP- Speed After FUP 786kbps. B-MAX Rs 850- 2 Mbps- 20Gb FUP- Speed After FUP 1 Mbps. B-MAX Rs 1000- 10 Mbps-30Gb FUP- Speed After FUP 2 Mbps. B-MAX Rs 1500- 15 Mbps-40Gb FUP- Speed After FUP 4 Mbps. B-MAX Rs 2500- 20 Mbps-60Gb FUP- Speed After FUP 6 Mbps. Even in Mumbai there is an ISP, Five Networks which provides Unlimited Plans at even better prices. The crazy part is all this ISP's buy their international bandwidth from either Bharti, VSNL or Reliance. Still they are able to provide better plans then them. Only gives an idea of the extent of Airtel's loot.
dkaile 1,051 Report post Posted May 14, 2011 ^ I am just calling your bluff; if they dont give me a good retention plan, I may have to cancel my disconnection request, as I dont have any good alternatives here in Meerut... lolz...
digitalnirvana 646 Report post Posted May 14, 2011 ^ In Meerut circle this is the best plan I could find. But in BLR same plan is more competitive. There is discrepancy your circle is being given step motherly treatment.

Deepak Shankar 79 Report post Posted September 3, 2013 @ Kanaga Deepan BSNL kumbakaran will never wake up for past 3-4 months so called 2 mbps line is so pathetic connection automatically goes of for few hours and comes back each page has to be refreshed 3-4 times for it to open.I am not expecting high speed from them will be happy if they provide the present service properly.Just like our economy is going back to 1991 scenario BSNL is following suit going back to olden days
