digitalnirvana 646 Report post Posted May 14, 2011 BSNL has FTTH in Hyderabad based on Gigabyte Passive Optical Technology (GPON) concept, they are most probably using that.

anandjm 3 Report post Posted May 15, 2011 (edited) 30GB is for the 1Mbps (was 768Kbps earlier) tariff, should be 40-50GB for their 10Mbps tariff. Post FUP, 1Mbps becomes 512Kbps. Not really, won't you take a 10 mbps connection with 30 GB limit and 2 mbps thereafter for 1000 bucks per month? @dipanlahiri, I too have heard that they buy bandwidth from Tata I have been using it since last 1 year (used to be using BSNL EvDO earlier). Never got speeds less than what they quoted when I was downloading from websites. Also found that their usage billing is quite accurate. The only issue is if some idiot agency digs up and the cables get cut, you could lose a day or two of connectivity in some areas. Plus what I really like about them is that their tariff is inclusive of taxes. Edited May 15, 2011 by anandjm
KumaarShah 143 Report post Posted May 15, 2011 wowieeeeeeeeeeeeee superb tariffs and FUP also is reasonably good. And plan is inclusive of tax... any idea when they will go national or atleast Chennai??????

aankush 62 Report post Posted October 2, 2012 I have recently taken the connection of Beam Got the connection within 2 days. Gave up my Airtel connection. Amazing down and up speeds. Paid Rs.5600/- for 6 months for the plan of 10 Mbps for 30 GB thereon speed will slow down to 2 mbps, which is very fair I feel. And moreover one of my friend was saying, even after crossing 30 GB he was getting 10Mbps speed...

Guru Gopal 589 Report post Posted October 2, 2012 I am using 10mbps plan for my home. I CAP is 40 GB per month and after that, 2/4 mbps(I never reached). Upload traffic is not counted and it is free unlimited. only download traffic counted. Any time speedtest net results shows 25 mbps upload and 10 mbps speed from 7A.M to 11 P.M.(nights 25 mbps). PS: if you happens to use any VPN with the router itself, The CAP is not applicable and total download also not counting for the purpose of cap. I am very much satisfied with BEAM tele. Guru Gopal 589 Report post Posted October 2, 2012 beam tele is very good and no issues at all except when cable break.
