commonman 228 Report post Posted May 24, 2011 pull the connected Plugs individually, after operating for about 10 minutes, and check if any of the pins is hot.
chandannasta 4 Report post Posted May 24, 2011 The first pin from the right hand side is too hot where surge protector is mentioned. If I remove that plug its too hot.
KumaarShah 143 Report post Posted May 25, 2011 seems to be some loose contact or wiring, check the connections. Else call a qualified electrician.
csmart 472 Report post Posted May 25, 2011 there are many reasons. loose contact, load on main plug (due to aging), fault in spike guard etc.. you also said that the pin is too hot. so try avoiding that plug and check. otherwise check with other spike guard. chandannasta 4 Report post Posted May 25, 2011 I have heard that Belkins spikeguard is good. Should I purchase that?

commonman 228 Report post Posted May 25, 2011 The first pin from the right hand side is too hot where surge protector is mentioned. If I remove that plug its too hot. don't attach a plug in that particular socket and use for about 10 minutes. If you don't hear the sound, that particular socket is not functioning properly, loose connection/improper contact etc.
