kshah 452 Report post Posted July 14, 2011 True, heating could be because of lots of reasons, wcdma also heats as much as cdma. Reason for handset heating is due to processors and battery rather than radio, now a days it seems. Sent from my DROID2 GLOBAL using Tapatalk

lijodavis 1 Report post Posted July 16, 2011 Just got Htc evo 3d from @amit. I have a fresh 16Gb sandisk microsdhc, can i use it instead of current 8gb? will there be any speed diff.? need to format before inserting? can i do a blind copy of contents from 8gb to 16gb? any points to be noted? dkaile 1,051 Report post Posted July 16, 2011 (edited) ^ In a fresh phone you can easily swap cards; If needed you can format the 16gb card in the phone itself; it will make the new directory structure or you can make a blind copy if data exists on the old 8gb card; both should work. The speed is not dependent upon the capacity of the card but its Class. It is written in the form of numbers which signifies it's speed. The 8gb card in the Evo is Class4 whereas the 16gb card you might have is Class 2. Higher the number higher the speed, so from that definition your 8gb card will be faster than your 16gb one... lijodavis 1 Report post Posted July 16, 2011 (edited) i have checked, my 16gb is also a class 4 card.A '4' inside a big 'C' is etched on card. so i just swapped cards. both are having almost same transfer rate too. The ring volume of evo 3d is slightly lower than my old hero. Hope it will be corrected by htc in future updates. Edited July 16, 2011 by lijodavis
