Please Suggest a CDMA Handset (Reliance) For Heavy User

Recommended Posts

Hai guys,

I require a handset for my senior marketing manager.

* He talks.. talks.. talks.. a lot using the bluetooth headset - So talktime needs to be high one

*SMS a little

*Rarely uses camera, internet, music - but needed

*Must feel rich handset, since he is in top position in my company

* Budget is not a constraint

* Should not be very bulky. Qwerty keyboard not required.

Please suggest a suitable one friends.

Thanks

That means you need a good handset with good battery backup,

If you see almost all high end hadnsets dont have battery backup for more than a day.

Few Handset like samsung epic got good battery backup, but its bulky with slide out keypad.

one handset I am using is HTC Ozone (win mo 6.5), which is not that bulky but have qwerty kaypad, good battery backup, (as it use 1500mAh battery for non touch phone with qwerty)

works on GSM and CDMA, BUT you may say its not rich looking (personal teats )

if qwerty keyboard is not a prob i think blackberry bold 9650 or tour 9630 will fulfill your requirements. good battery backup, rich feel handset nd not at all bulky. rest most of the cdma phones today come with qwerty keypad.

I will opt for a BB even though it will be an overkill. Fantastic battery life, and rugged as anything. I do not know whether Nokia is till making the 6275, another handset built like a tank.

Thanks for your response friends.

The phones suggested by you

HTC Ozone - 1500mah - 290min

BB Bold 9650 - 1400mah - 5 h

BB Tour 9630 - 1400mah - 5 h

Samsung Fascinate - 1500mah - 6 1/2

Nesus S - 1500 - 6 40min

Based on the above facts does Fascinate and Nuexus S give better talktime and also I find them handy. I am somehow more inclined towards Nexus S. Is Nexus S available with any of our forum member - Reliance ready?

BB has best possible battery life.

Ganesan sir, please dont get fooled by numbers.... If battery life is your main condition, then I think you have no good option than BB... As I have used both (BB & Android) CDMA phones, I can say BB with 1200mAh battery will give MUCH MUCH better battery life than that of any HIGH_END_1GHz/+ Android phones with 1500mAh battery...

Thanks Kshah and Kanaga.

Some confusing reports.

BB 9650 is suggested for better battery, but Parin has quoted in the link below

[Link]'honestly not a good handset, since i am using it i dont suggest 9650

battery is very weak for data & software lags, takes around 10min to boot'

Lag in booting is a common thing in blackberrys or atleast before BB OS6.. Even I just plug in the battery in my bb and will have my breakfast.. During my return, the final security checking screen will be showing..

Further there will not be much reboot issues in bb to worry about/encounter this lag

And finally a bb phone with worst battery life is any day better than a high end android (even atrix with 1900mAh battery) with best battery life, if we consider just the battery life

Are top position people judged by their phones? A question to ponder.

Mods: Should this be in the Suggest handsets section or Buy Sell bazaar?
