hovs 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2004 With the disgust and revulsion I have for the RIM (for what I think I have more than adequate reasons) I forgot about one funny aspect with RIM. You know they have been sending several sms's exhorting me to pay the bills and take home a 'surprise gift', 'cool gift' etc. I don't know if any of you have recd such sms. They were offering one torch light (Eveready with MRP of 400 (?) on one such ocassion). They have been organising bill suljhao camps for settlement of disputes (Ofcourse no body is in a position to explain or admit what went wrong or why it went wrong) and the smart cust care gal (occassionally guy) gives a patient hearing to all that you want to say. They have a limitation of 10% and ofcourse there is nobody else higher to give a reply. I think this very offer of a gift for settling your due bills and giving discounts itself speaks volumes about the faulty and inaccurate billing system let alone other contractual obligations Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
sunil_jok 2 Report post Posted March 6, 2004 I think this very offer of a gift for settling your due bills and giving discounts itself speaks volumes about the faulty and inaccurate billing system let alone other contractual obligations it does in no way spak bout faulty and inaccurate billing system. it is just an inducement for the customers to pay the bill. if they had any prob with billing they would have tried to hide it. the free gift is a small expense compared to what they might incurr if they went to the court to get the bill... when you believe some ppl are bad then what ever they do, you believe it is bad. btw did u get a free gift when u paid your bill?? or id u get 10% reduction because you complained bout ur bill??? They too run into similar probs... but since they were the only ones to provide landlines in mumbai, once upon a time, ppl had no choice. And since, then we didn't have such forums on the internet(I think there was no internet then!! ) ppl like u and me, weren't really able to flout our disgust here... hovs, billing probs have always been there, right from telecom companies, to railways to airways! u r jus too much carried away by ur prob with Rel !! chill man In Mumbai, Reliance had sponsored a bit event at MMRDA grounds, Bandra and i also recd a msg which read that if i pay my bill there, then there are chances that i get some "cool" gift... lol... i never recd a bill, so was not priviledged enuf for the damn ****ty gift !! I received an sms saying free software upgrdation( obviously its free), and assured gifts to all who settled their previous dues.. Well i jus had my soft uprgaded.. so dint receive any gifts...
