::: VA ::: 531 Report post Posted August 12, 2011 (edited) Android , Android everywhere not a Window to see.............. Guys I cant help wonder that why have we rimwebians almost abandoned Microsoft. People have sold so many Windows mobile based phones and they are still selling used ones or new here in this forum. But am i too blind to see or its true that there isnt nobody selling Windows Phone 7 based phones. I know at least of two which were released by HTC namely Arrive & Trophy on CDMA networks. But nobody is giving those choices here. I went through their reviews on Cnet and here are the outcomes broadly. HTC Arrive The good: The HTC Arrive features a durable design with a responsive QWERTY keyboard and a tilting screen. It's the first Windows Phone 7 device to ship with Microsoft's cut-and-paste feature. The bad: The HTC Arrive's heavy and bulky body will weigh some people down, and it requires some pressure to slide open the keyboard. Its camera could be better, and we were hoping for 4G WiMax support. The bottom line: The HTC Arrive, Sprint's first Windows 7 phone, is a solid effort that largely delivers, although it will disappoint those looking for a 4G smartphone CNET editors' rating 4/5 stars Design: 8.0 Features: 8.0 Performance: 8.0 HTC Trophy The good: The HTC Trophy features a compact design and world roaming capabilities. Windows Phone offers an easy-to-use interface, as well as good integration with Zune and Office. The bad: Camera quality is disappointing. Battery life could be better. The bottom line: The HTC Trophy isn't Verizon's most powerful or advanced smartphone, but if you don't need all the bells and whistles, the Windows Phone offers great ease of use and good integration of features in a sleek package CNET editors' rating 3.5/5 stars Design: 8.0 Features: 7.0 Performance: 7.0 Now reading these briefs and the detailed ones, I definitely did not reach any conclusions of never looking at Windows phone again. From my personal experience on Google Buzz there was once a huge debate(biggest i ever followed) between many people on one side that is android and only one guy supporting Windows Phone 7 (most of the android supporters are even regulars here on rimweb). Are we at all trying to declare rimweb as a lopsided forum when it comes to Mobile Operating systems. I think its only fair to provide us buyers with all the available choices after all that's what a healthy market is. Its totally on the buyer's discretion ultimately to chose from the available options. Hope to see these two contenders enter the market here soon. parin 857 Report post Posted August 12, 2011 Correct Answer Microsoft is Lost.... No Chance to Come up & beat Android or IOS
::: VA ::: 531 Report post Posted August 12, 2011 guys i m not talking about which os beats which. i m just talking about co - existence. just like nokia still exists even though we all know its blunders. similarly microsoft coexists with all their deficiency. earlier even ios didnt have copy paste. they introduced it much later. they only have one phone at a time to sell running their os unlike android. multi tasking only got possible with ios 4. but they are still there and kicking. fyi htc arrive with windows phone 7 already has copy paste. I am not a ms fan but i m saying i d just like to see them selling here just to provide buyers a choice otherwise why do we still have the earlier generation of htc selling here(the one with windows mobile). also even though palm has been bought by HP due to their weakness is still selling here in rimweb. then why not windows phone 7. level with me guys i m just trying to be reasonable.
