Activated Samsung Epic On TATA Indicom but not working

People, thanks for all the knowledge sharing..

I have an epic 4g and am trying to get it to work on Tata Indicom.

After culling information from various Internet sources and rimweb forums, I was able to activate the EPIC on Tata network.

To activate the epic, After dialing *228, I hear the IVR instructions, Please do not turn off the phone, as the device is being programmed, then it says, Your device has been programmed, Your number would be activated in 5 minutes, Please Restart your phone.

After that the EPIC restarts automatically, but I still cannot make any calls or send SMS. I tried to reactivate the number multiple times, every time it keeps on mentioning that your phone has been programmed and the number would be activated in 5 minutes.

Just to make things more clear, this is not a cloning attempt, the Tata Indicom number is a fresh number and not activated prior to this attempt.

Or to put it in simple words, Tata Indicom doesn't have any problem activating my epic, the phone is activated, but the problem is I am unable to perform any communication tasks.

Any Help!!!!

now a days major problem is related to A-Key, check your akey again

Mate, enlighten me on a-key!!

:errrr: I always thought A-KEY is something that is programmed into the device during activation and is related to the esn.

Guess, I still need to learn more.

Hi , As Hiteshji mentioned this could be A-Key issue ... however I will throw my experience over here .. I activated my mobile a year back and that time I had similar issue. I changed my SPC to all Zeros and then it activated immediatley .. just few question , did u register you IMEI with Tata or ESN ? thx
