Arun 795 Report post Posted August 17, 2011 SFS is a third party community driven anti-spam database which provides an API that can be used by website publishers to block spammers from signing up as it checks the email address and IP address against the database. If a reported email/IP address is detected then it blocks the spammer from signing up. Unfortunately I noticed it is still having compatibility issues with the new forum software version (even though the developer released an update) and had to disable it again and have to check with the plugin developer again Just like spam emails the spammers post links which could be anything (financial gains, get traffic, malware/virus links, porn, etc.). Anyway since moderation preview is enabled for all new members the spam topic/posts won't be displayed in the forum and will be removed by a moderator. They were present earlier also but were kept hidden as it was interfering with the website home page script functionality at that time. The current homepage is set to be replaced with a new one. See this reply. Also have u disabled animation in profile pic ? I think this has to do with the avatar resize for the new version. I also noticed that the animated gif support was off after the upgrade. I had turned it on later and it did mention that the change will be in effect for images that are uploaded thereafter. rajanmehta 4,056 Report post Posted August 20, 2011 Can we have the birthday list horizontly down below the list of members online as earlier? And have the list of top 10 posters of the day at the same place where it was earlier? It's missing right now. Also what's the reason for empty space on the left and right hand side.. This space was not there in earlier version.. Because of this empty space, member titles, handset names are going into two lines which was earlier accomodated in one line. Even the posting area space got reduced and something which was accomodated in one line is now spreading to two lines. Please look if it is possible by any setting to remove this empty space and stretch forum visible area till the edges of left and right screen and subsequently re-stretch member details and post area.
