Dear Chirag,

The whole thing(// SCKL15811581080303) is a header file.Hence there is no space in between them. Where as the smaller ringtones have a small header file like //SCKL1581 . Hence u should not put a space on ur own. And one more thing, the free software at the following link given by Arun does work.

The only thing is that u should learn to use it correctly. I was not using it correctly. But now i learnt to use it. And it is producing ringtones correctly from even midi file correctly. Keep posting for more info.

I downloaded the PSM player. Its good. I used it to create ringtones for my friends samsung instrument. Can we have the SCKL code generation feature on the PSM Player??

I was unable to download the midi file. Check it. And munna mobile, i do not know about 2112. But i am sure that SCKL code will not work on it because it is only for monophonic ringtones.

Were u able to send sckl ringtone to ur mobile succesfully?Did any ringtone worked. If even one of them works then theothers should also work. However, only monophonic ringtones can be sent as sckl code. And, is this 2112 available in reliance or do u have some other service provider? Give me ur number and i will sms the code to u. See if it works.

Here is your cowboy ringtone( good bad and ugly). I changed my browser to netscape and was able to download it. However, the ringtone was a little odd and the ringtone software was not able to convert it into sckl format properly. I got the ringtone through other ways. I have not yet tested it as none of the sms portals are working. So try it and keep posting. Sorry for the delay.

now do one thing, download Ringtone Converter

n then convert all uor rttf ringtones into Nokia Binary Format

n then send them to uorself

Voila!!

U can also convert midi to rttf

n then rttf to Nokia Binary

Now keep in uor mind, CDMA phones only support 160 characters.

So, while converting uor rintone to nokia binary format, select sms size to 160 characters..

I dont know wht i am doing wrong, which is why the ringtones r not coming properly!

Whenever i send a ringtone with //SCKL1581(Space)0605041581000002 it comes properly. But if there is a tone //SCKL15810605041(Space)581000002, it jus doesn't reach the phone. Or it'll not play! Any help here?

Even longer tones are not coming thru the sms site properly. thy get split into msgs and then the first msg doesn't even reach the phone!

Hey people, ever since sms from internet to RIM stopped, this method of sending ringtones to Nokia 2280 has also stopped. Once it starts again, we will be able to send ringtones again.

Hey, did'nt knew about you post in here. Sorry. The SMS portal is long dead dude. So, if u want to send a ringtone to ur phone, get a phone connected to PC and copy pasteand sms the code to ur phone. Else, write the code yourself and send it to yourself. Some people are using CHIKKA Messenger nowadays. That wont work either because, it automatically adds some extra characters at the end of the message.

Now that is real bad... lets see if any workarounds are possible.

That sounds strange...Why cannot it send SCKL Codes? After all its just plain text string.
