abhijit3k 0 Report post Posted February 28, 2005 Its very surprising 2 me that no one from Asansol is able to upgrade my 2030 to 6130. As information provided by some POS i purchased LG6130 since i found so many features in it. My 2030 is postpaid. Before purchasing the set i called the Customer Care three times that weather this is possible or not(I also told them my model no. and the scheme and the model no. of new set i.e 6130), they assure me that its very easy n i cando it by myself. But as process given my them (though i knew tat a prepaid set will activated by pressing the *228) i used *228 and my problems started to rise. 1) My phone is activated with a prepaid no. 2) I was unable to chane my set. I again called the CC more than 8 times for what 2 do know. but out of 8 only 2 persons refused to accept that i can change to 6130. According to them its not possible to convert into 6130. After few daz i went 2 web express with my problem, they tried it to change with another nokia set but they also failed 2 transfer my no. to either set. at last they told me that as my no. is postpaid i cant change handset as postpaid cant be transferred. Furthermore, now i have told by the WW that i can change it to postpaid set (LG 7230) but this set is not available here..,,.. Now please tell me what i can do??????? As instead of upgrading from B/W set now I have 2 set. (I cant Continue 2 nos. and i dont think its easier to sell A new set at 2nd hand rate............ where is there is no fault from my side) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Greens 21 Report post Posted March 1, 2005 1. You bought a provisioned prepaid handset instead of buying a unprovisioned handset. 2. What you have to do now is, buy 3 HCC and get hold of a unprovisioned handset. 3. First put your old postpaid no. into the unprovisioned handset using the HCC 4. Now shift your new prepaid no. to your old handset. 5. Your new h/s is emtpy now, put your postpaid no. from the temp. h/s to the new handset using the third HCC. 6.
