That case in Madras High Court involved a couple not officially married through any religious ceremony but were living together for years and had 2 grown up children. After so many years of living together when they separated, wife filled petition for maintenance in lower court which was rejected citing no proof of marriage. That decision of lower court was overruled by the Madras High Court which granted maintenance. All the quotes relating to premarital sex in the judgement appearing in media has to be read in the context of this reality. Court rightly observed that marriage can't be denied only because one has not gone through religious rite of wedding but has done everything else in what constitutes a marriage. It's a progressive judgement. Are you suggesting that Reliance is unreliable compared to MTS and Tata? If yes, then you are sadly mistaken. In UP (W), Tata is highly unreliable and MTS is non existent.
