Rahul Always 87 Report post Posted September 23, 2011 @ Abhay, I too received the message and have undertaken updating of my Nexus S. I am presently in Android 2.3.7. Not faced any problems with Reliance network etc. The only issue I had with the OTA update was the addition of two apps, namely Google Wallet and Google Shopper. Since my phone is not rooted, there is no way I can uninstall either of them. Other than that, no issues with the updates. Phone continues to work satisfactorily. @Tanveer, the earlier stock version was 2.3.5.

Rahul Always 87 Report post Posted September 23, 2011 Since this topic is anyway about Nexus S, also wanted to ask the gurus here if there is some way to reduce bloatware in mobiles? I am sure we all install a lot of software from the market and then uninstall them later on. What is there to "clean" up all traces of the software (similar to registry cleaning software available in windows)? Can someone please help out? Mine is an unrooted phone.
