Hi deeepu

I have some questions

Is "Pcq Linux 2005" means with March version of PCQ will have Linux CD/DVD ?

And how complex will be the installation of Pcq Linux?

I remember very older version they were little bit complicated but still OK.

I also want to install Linux. But i have some questions.

My total HDD is 200GB

in which 150GB is having NTFS partitions.

So if i install Linux i donot want other's to mount these partitions and see personal data. Is is allowed to mount NTFS in Linux?

And also i am having AMD64 and i heard only FreeBSD supports 64 bit processor

So can still can i Install this version of linux(32 bit) since the processor will also supports 32 bit?

sorry for posting this question i can try myself but i donot want to loose any data while trying and if someone already did this there is no need for me to experiment.

Hi,

March version of PCQ will come with PCQ Linux 2005. They will come in CDs and not DVDs

Installation is simple and any one can do it.

I think NTFS can be mounted as Read only in Linux.. (I still use FAT32)

But you can always limit others from using that partition... Thus other users will not be able to mount it except the root user..

I think this version is for 32 bit computers and not for 64 bit....(I have not got the cds yet)

Fedora core 3 is available for AMD 64..

You can get it from

http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedo...e/3/x86_64/iso/

I think it will be better for you to try out some Linux version optimized for your 64 bit CPU...

Finally I am able to install PCQL.. :)

I installed on a seperate IDE drive :(

Little bit slow But OK.

I am Downloading Fedora core for my Sys (64 bit)

So that i can see the Speed difference b/w both 32 bit and 64 bit versions

Great Man!! On 64 bit surely the performance will be great!!

What about your DVD Writer... Were you able to use it in PCQ Linux
