It also has to do something what you call as freedom Those people who like things in their control and don't want to stay restricted will prefer the droid Those people who don't give a damn about what restrictions they are put through and just want to do basic stuff will like the iPhone I had my chance of having iphone for quite some time. I know people with samsung galaxy phones and other high end phone and only use them for listening some music and soot some pics and vieos just for that iphone is good. omk4r 2 Report post Posted October 15, 2011 (edited) yet to own a droid yet but I had my time with the galaxy s/evo4g for a week sense, touchwiz . choice we have Choice of handset being the largest factor for me (I like BIG screens, my next purchase will be >=4.0" for sure) Custom roms (its what I will be doing most of the time when i will actually own 1, trying out different custom flavors) I have a bad habit of not charging the phone frequently..........(not for everyone but it is a must for me) Bluetooth woes (tough apps solve problem, I just HATED it to the core at first) Apple has some of the best customer support and the iNsurance is just great I am not blaming it, apple had a great plan and they executed it with excellence but it is not what I like (personal choice) I read somewhere about ios - less choice less confusion, but i prefer it the other way. Just 1 innovation ? The drop down notification is copied by Apple, I hope you are aware about it. Crash ! Your iPhone hang so rarely because it does not have full multi tasking. Comparing one feature and leaving the second part covered is not the right way to do any kind of comparison! I feel pity for all iPhone users who got the option to change the wallpaper just couple of years back! Bore nahi hote kya 1 hi wallpaper se ? And you also should not forget that when iOS got the capability of forwarding SMS and copy/paste function. Compared to iOS, Android offers more than 10 browsers, 10 keyboards, 10 launchers, 10 messaging apps, etc in Android and I am not talking about custom ROM, these are the basic things which Android has offered. I feel sad even when you for transferring a single song or single picture, you need to open itunes and sync with it. Moreover you are stuck with one single PC and its itunes! HetalDP 947 Report post Posted October 16, 2011 iPhone hangs rarely may be 15 to 30 days, but after that it just vibrats and do nothing no matter you are in hell or heaven you have to run to your pc or iPhone expert to do Tethered Jail Break again. 98% people dont know whats to do when iPhone just Vibrats and do nothing not even shows the screen on or what ever. HAHAHA in Android just remove Battery and get life wherever u are. But what will the end users do with custom roms ?? Custom roms are only for ui and experiance. For which iphone is the best.. but 45000 is way tooo costly i agree with u on that. rajanmehta 4,056 Report post Posted October 16, 2011 Great technology is that which can impact the most number of people in a positive way, is affordable, has choices available from low end to high end and not proprietary / controlled. Imagine how few landmark inventions of this century like Cars, PC would have turned out if they had similar costly / proprietary development path as apple products. It might have remained user friendly (very debatable.. Sometimes user friendly and being dumb has a thin line.. ) but benefits would have reached only a small segment of the worldwide population. Because those products have been open ended, there are numerous manufacturers, people can afford and buy as per their liking, budget and changed the world for better. Inventing an extra ordinary smartphone was a huge plus for apple but once again it got stuck into the same philosophy.. "We know what is good for you and only we will do that in our way".. It did the same mistake years ago for Mac.. Look where is PC today and Mac in comparison ? Android has truly taken the smartphone revolution ahead in a real sense for everyone. You can buy a handset from Rs 6,000 to Rs 35,000 with the same OS but different hardware.. Essentially every device is capable of doing 80-90% of the things which a high end device will do.. Low cost devices may do it slower.. But every one does not need that speed.. Essential smart features of a smartphone is not compromised and available for all.. iPhone could never reach the next billion (It never intended to in the first place with 100% + profit margins.. ) and will just remain a niche product in the coming years as android chips away the market share worldwide and puts a smartphone in every pocket.. That's real smart !!! And when one sees the blind faith apple followers trumpeting the besuri basuri of "copy", they exactly look like part of a hardware robot army with no individual brains / thinking but are controllled / instructed from a central control point like in those hollywood movies.. If we go by apple philosophy, Every car is a "copy" because it has 4 wheels like the earliest Ford T Series.. Lol.. Lol.. Lol... Thank god we do not have "apple" like company there otherwise we would all be filling iPetrol at Rs 150 per litre, having iTyres in all wheels, would have been charged a fixed amount per kilometer of running in addition to the capital cost paid for the car, cigarette lighter socket would be "apple" proprietary, so chargers would cost Rs 5,000, there would be iMats...
