sgiitk 32 Report post Posted October 10, 2011 Very sad news. I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to hear him twice, the first when Chitra was still singing. It was a real treat both times. May his soul rest in peace.

Honest 836 Report post Posted October 10, 2011 Extremely sad news. May his soul rest in peace. Koi yeh kaise bataye ke woh tanha kyu hai, Woh jo apna tha, wohi aur kisika kyu hai, Yahi duniya hai toh fir, aisi ye duniya kyu hai, Yahi hota hai toh aakhir, yahi hota kyu hai ?
ami1 237 Report post Posted October 11, 2011 Really Sad. He had the most unbelievably touching voice. Grew up listening to his ghazals almost everyday as my parents were big fans. Even now, Jagjit Singh's are the only albums apart from old rock that i listen to. Now that DKaile & Honest have posted two of my favorite couplets from his albums - i am desperately searching for some headphones in office to listen to those.
