The Client want SMS @ everytime the software is started. then every hour he wants details of the outlet such as No of bills generated, Amount Collected and No of bills Cancelled. Now I need some professional SMS templates for the same Example When the software Starts: The Message: Good Morning, The System @ your Kalyan Outlet started @ DATE: DD:MM:YY, HH:MM. Report: Bills:___ Cancld:___ Amt:______. Now i require help on what should be the 2nd 3rd and so on sms?? Like Hi Owner, You KALYAN mall @ has generated 200 Bills , and grossed 2000 rs/- and no of bills cncld : 0. Date:DD/MM/YY, Time: HH:MM with 140 character, please help me draft this as professionally as possible. the client has many outlets , so they do want the location mentioned on every sms. It's business related and should not be restricted to 140 characters only unless there is particular reason for the same. GSM handsets has concatenation facility to show long sms as one. 2. Below format should be size friendly and readable as well: Hi Owner, Location: Kalyan Bills: 200 Gross: 2,000 Cancelled: 0 Date: DD/MM/YY HH:MM [AM/PM] In my opinion, greetings [Hi Owner] may be omitted if its not really too much of importance to be formal in sms. 3. If owner has Blackberry / smart phone with net connectivity, make a wap page with hourly data rather than OR along with SMS / Email every hour. Reasons: a. It becomes tedious to go through number of sms / email every hour. b. Comparing statistics with other mall / previous day will be too very difficult in sms / email. Whereas same can be readily made available on a wap page every hour, or may be real time if system is developed in such a way. csmart 472 Report post Posted October 25, 2011 (edited) what Monji said is correct. it is really worthless when you get even 5 SMS with similar kind of info. it kills its usability and purpose. other suggestion will be to have different "Sender" name for various locations. so in that case, in smart phone, SMSs will be group by location. but then also, cross linking with other location will be a problem. Now the client wants my system to send them message generated information from my software. So SMS was the only solution he agreed on , dont worry for his hotel we have provided his managers with tabs and they take orders on webpage as suggested by you. there are 3 owners n they plan to open 15 more outlets across Pune-Mumbai-Nashik circle, they jus require the sale amount and nothing else, so that they know that biz is running smooth. Also they have Daily report before the Outlet close so they have handy information wherever they are.
