mgdelhi 192 Report post Posted November 7, 2011 Hi guys, If you planning to buy a STB with recording facility, please buy it now else you will not be able to buy it for many months. Because of floods in Thailand and the hard disk shortage because of it, there is a tough time coming for DTH companies. Take example of Tata Sky HD+ (since I own it, know more about it), people are buying STBs at 4k, opening it and taking it out (a WD Green 500GB) which is retailing at 4.5k these days. Also, if the 500GB will cost 4.5k, how can Tata Sky sell the STBs at 4k, surely either short supply or price increase. Think about it guys.

me_saket 73 Report post Posted November 8, 2011 (edited) good info mukesh. In last week itself, i brought TATA HD+ at a net discount price of Rs1500 from tata sky, under one offer "SATURDAY JHINGALALA" IMHO buy TS+ asap. great price, great software, good CC, and wide Channel range, and of course 625Hrs of recording in HD content. Buy from letsbuy or online website after applying discount code, rather than buying from retailers or TATA SKY outlet. city02 63 Report post Posted November 9, 2011 great price, great software, good CC, and wide Channel range, and of course 625Hrs of recording in HD content. nope, we only get 380 gb of available space [rest is reserved] which is about 400 hours of SD and below 200 hours of HD as a benchmark we were recording from half a dozen english channels and that filled up our space in 5 weeks only despite watching and deleting daily! so we dropped all our movie channels and only record serials now
