ami1 237 Report post Posted August 17, 2012 I have found that JellyBean has Absolutely great battery life AS WELL AS performance. Though i was initially skeptical of trying out JB having just done ICS few months back but at least his JB ROM is great > CM10-20120723-EXPERIMENTAL-crespo4g-burnsra from xda. This is the first version where i find android GUI is as smooth as iphone. Otherwise in all earlier versions including ICS there was a lag/flicker sometimes (not always, but enough to make you feel your phone is slow) when moving between screens or opening multiple apps or if you had live wallpaper. This rom has just the minimum required additional things and no bloat. Only thing is you have to replace the boot animation since that has a CM icon (some sort of kiddish alien logo which i hate). Just flash the JB bootanim file after flashing the ROM and GAPPS. On ICS i only like peteralfonso.com roms (bugless beast) which doesn't have any funny extras like all the other xda guys and has good battery life as well as performance. But no Project Butter as in JB.

dr.faramroze 703 Report post Posted October 13, 2012 Even I got official 4.1.1 JRO03R update at first go on my friend's ns4g. But there are some bugs like operator name, 1x icon, higher level of auto brightness and a few more. AOKP BUILD 4 is full of tweaks and completely compatible with Nexus S. You can try AOKP.
