Hi Joshm, currently im on SC 3 0.3 and i would like to upgrade to the latest SC 3 0.5 using the patch. I have downloaded the patch but not sure if i have to odin it or do it via recovery. I would also like to know if i will lose all my data and will have to reinstall all the apps etc.

well,, i installled launcher EX.. n it slows d fone to dead,, i want simple super clean.. wat shat i do?

jus flash reflash super clean or shud i do all d 3 steps.. i.e. odining n all?

well i guess just either try uninstalling this

or just go to the recovery and wipe all three

1.. data

2.. cache

3.. dalvik cache

you ll as good as new

But all contacts , sms es , call logs , settings , applications will be wiped !!, so plz back em up upfront

well, if i do wipe n all 3 steps.. will evdo setting,network stay or i have to reprogram ? have u ever tried before ?

nothing will be affected. you ll go back to the stocky state of Superclean only losing your apps and contacts and smses and stuff.

its a zip package and zip packages are to be flashed via CWM always

@ JPShah : you can use the 1.6 version as well.

@Silver1 : see the data and apps are wiped only when you use CWM recovery and wipe data thriugh it , if you are just going to flash the patch then nothing will be removed.

yes of course you can

although there is no need to wipe anything , but in my view its always great to wipe all three ( provided you have ur contacts , sms es and apps backed up )

joshm:-i have an epic as well as fascinate , and i can safely say fascinate is better in all regards

first up its half the weight

sliders are always prone to get messed

epic has a perennial issue of not getting recognised by windows

its got a bug of getting disconnected while on evdo, signals vary a lot in it

i personally use fascinate only and my friend uses epic .

O man , its a tar file , you dont have to extract it , it has to be used as is in ODIN man !!!
