Suggestion For New Data/net Card

Recommended Posts

I am looking for good data/net card for my colleague. he is in marketing and always on the move. till date he was using his phone but then it is now hampering his work and also some "feel good factor" that I need to provide him this card.

there should be good connectivity across country, mainly in Mumbai, Gujarat (Vapi/Valsad other industrial area), Maharashtra, Goa and Chhattisgarh

not inclined any particular service provider. but somebody told me that RCOM has issue of virus.

Monthly donwload/upload abt 5GB max and expens about Rs 800 or so. can be +/- 200. Speed should be at least 2Mbps.

please suggest data card brand (huwaie/ZTE etc) and service provider also.

I found RCOM has better plans and good coverage compare to others. but if somebody can comment on virus issue, then buy it. or anyone can suggest good deal.

Virus issue is on Most networks. I would suggest having a good firewall with Good anti-virus.

if he want to be in roaming for most of the time,

then go with tata photon plus.

TTSL is leader in data card market in mumbai, maharashtra.

also good service and good cust support.

now tata photon cost rs 1299

or go with FREE data card offer in postpaid after paying advance rental.

@arun two of my friends had problem of virus whenever he connected to RCOM. he says even after having up to date anti virus, the problem was regular. recently in my dad office, PC which was connected to RCOm card, started sending bulk mails automatically.

@saket the price is almost similar for most service providers.

I am using Reliance EVDO on modem and never faced virus issues..

Both of the devices are more of less same, as u will not use it. If u are thinking to buy one for yourself buy the ZTE one and if the RUIM slot is blank, unlock it and use any CDMA operator's data services along with Reliance on the data card as usual.

The virus must be in the PC itself. Does the data card have USB drive functionality too? If yes, you might have to have that checked as well, else clean the PC using anti-virus and anti-malware softwares.
