ujjwalsarin 9 Report post Posted December 12, 2011 Gurus pl provide a clarity While a Carrier locked CDMA device can be made to work in India, if it is unlocked and the authentication parameters are uploaded in the target network(PRL etc); however only voice, SMS and wap will work in such scenario I have been given to understand that CDMA PIN for a carrier locked devices are not released in the"open list" by RIM, hence a cracked device cannot be used to access BB servers from outside the network to which the PIN was assigned ; and consequently cannot access BES,BIS and BBM Is the above understanding correct What is the solution for a single mode carrier locked device like a BB 9670 and for a world mode device like a BB 9350
@Akash 23 Report post Posted December 15, 2011 "RIM do not release the PIN of CDMA handset in open list " If this is true then, the BIS or BES cannot be activated on world edition phone like 9650. A rimweb member is already selling CDMA handset with BB activated.
