abhi.r 95 Report post Posted January 11, 2012 Suddenly EVDO stopped working on my phone, dialed 198 to log a complaint.. CC guy said that EVDO/Data services are being upgraded therefore data services (EVDO/1X) has been halted from 01:00hrs to 08:00hrs so that you can get better service in future, Does any one has news about it? insider babu?? Also couple of days ago i logged a complaint on reliance facebook page regarding lot of call drop problem.. got a call yesterday from mumbai reliance office.. asking more regarding problem im facing.. when they asked me about the phone im using i told them i500 first i thought they are upgrading it in my region LOL but later called CC again and confirmed that data services is being upgraded on pan india basis. csmart 472 Report post Posted January 12, 2012 (edited) yesterday i got SMS from reliance stating that data card services will be affected from midnight till today 8AM. they are upgrading their hardware as per the SMS. this may be the reason for better EVDO. Maine shayad aaj tak 1.3mbps se upar ki speed apne mobile pe kabhi nahi dekhi hai Being residing in Delhi, why Speedtest.net image shows -700miles? santanu@impaq 16 Report post Posted January 12, 2012 This disruption is for upgradation to Rev B network. Existing RevA Handsets will continue to get same speed. Some people may have experienced enchanced speed temporarily due to less congestion on EVDO channels. Earlier each tower was opearting from 1 EVDO channel but now 2 EVDO channels are available, so each subscriber of RevA will also get a bit increased throughput. If yes, the speeds what you got are not correct, try using your default browser which does not use a proxy. OM uses proxy, hence the speed-results may not be correct.
