Ashokjp 15 Report post Posted March 13, 2005 I am buying a new sys, it doesnt have a serial port I got some 3 or 4 serial cables The new sys got a parallell port which is of no use to me I need a Parallell Port to Serial Converters and their price... However they may be compatiability issues with other cables. It will work perfectly with serial devices but with other cable + serial device - who knows. Brands available - Bafo & Techcom. You may scourge your local icomputer market or may log on to baazee.com for easier shopping. I beleive there is no parallel to serial port available. Ganesh 0 Report post Posted March 14, 2005 get a bafo usb to serial converter.thats the best so far.i have 1 serial port and 6 usb ports in my pc.i use 4 usb ports as serial ports with usb-serial converters with 4 brands.BAFO is the most troublefree.
