cyst 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2004 OK Here is the brief xplanation: follow stepwise as given below: 1.First create "MyMail" account(FREE) at internet site http://mymail.ie/mymail/home.asp (visit this link & click on "sign up" button & fill required info.INCLUDING 4 DIGIT PIN No. Remember only yahoo, hotmail, excite & lycos email A/c works here) Remember for newbies:free account can be created by internet site(simply our computer wala Internet) NOT DITRECTLY thru WAP site(which is a site that is accessible thru your WAP enabled mobile phone.i.e.All reliance models except Motorola C131) 2.Now you will see congrats! page about successful regidtration of mymail a/c. HERE YOU WILL SEE A "WAP URL"(an address that is required to access your yahoo, hotmail email a/c from your mobile). This would look something like this:http://www.mymail.ie/pin.asp?uid=xyz@abc.com NOTEDOWN THIS ADDRESS 3.Here in WAP URL you will find your email ID in place of "xyz@abc.com" got it! 4.Now shut down your computer ! Get your mobile in hand & press R world key 5.Scroll till last menu option showing "More services"-open the same 6.Now open 3rd option in More Services named "SURF" This is your WAP BROWSER similar to internet explorer or netscape nav. of your computer. 7.Once you are in the SURF you will come to see links like...oye wap, google, greeting cards,etc.....DON'T open them for while 8.Simply click "option" button on right side of screen.Scroll downwards till you can see "Go To..." option(it's 4th option)..OPEN/SELECT it... 9.once you open it,simply type the WAP URL you have received earlier in space given there.i.e. http://www.mymail.ie/pin.asp?uid=xyz@abc.com REMEMBER : SOME PHONE MODELS MAY HAVE DEFAULT "http://" ALREADY WRITTEN IN "GO TO" OPTION.CHECK IT OUT WITH YOUR MODEL,IF IT SHOWS "http://" THEN SIMPLY START WAP URL FROM "www.mymail.ie/pin.asp?uid=xyz@abc.com" ok ***ENTIRE WAP URL MUST BE IN small case LETTERS WITHOUT ANY SPACES*** 10.NEVER FORGET TO WRITE YOUR CORRECT EMAIL (IN PLACE OF "xyz@abc.com") YOU HAVE GIVEN AT THE TIME OF MYMAIL RGISTARTION. 11.Once writen your WAP URL from options menu select "go" button & WAP browser will start searching your address. 12.After a minute or so,"My MAIL" page comes up & prompt for your PIN(4 digit No.) enter PIN REMEMBER : PIN IS IN digits.SO CHANGE YOUR TEXT ENTRY MODE INTO "123" TO ENTER DIGITS. 13.ONCE COMPLETED,SELECT "LOGIN" LINK WHCIH APPEARS JUST BELOW "PIN" BOX. YOU ARE IN ! CHECK YOUR MAILS/REPLY/DELETE..... 14. KINDLY VISIT MY MAIL HOMEPAGE FOR FURTHER QUERY http://mymail.ie/mymail/home.asp SEE YOU Samir Amin, Baroda(Vadodara)

sunil_jok 2 Report post Posted March 9, 2004 after getting the mail on ur mobile was it available in the hotmail or yahoo inbox too??? coz i dont like it if my mails cant be accessed later
cyst 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2004 Of course ! it's available in your original inbox. even if you delete the message thru your mobile,it'll remain in your yahoo, etc, inbox as long as you delete the mail by opening your yahoo a/c on your comp. In fact I don't know whether this facility is working "well" or not with Hotmail as I am using my Yahoo! A/C with MyMail. Let me know if anyone has/will have hotmail experience. Chirag 5 Report post Posted March 14, 2004 1. Restart the phone(we tend to forget this! keep the fone on for 24hrs! ) 2. Reset the R-World Menu 3. Restart the phone most of the R-World prob end with this. And anything more than this is becoz of network prob. Jus register ur Complaint at RWW with ur address, and mostly such probs get rectified in a week.

gtran_rocks 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2004 Guys, some member made a post regarding wap access to hotmail/yahoo accounts through a website : http://mymail.ie/mymail/home.asp It may be an innocent act. But guys let me warn you, this website takes charge of ur email account. It asks you not only your email Id but also your actual email password and a pin id . So the idea is that you can access the mail on wap using only the pin. But gullible wap surfers forget that they are actually submitting their complete web mail details to this webmaster including their actual mail passwords. I am sure this webmaster must have built up a huge database of yahoo and hotmail user ids and passwords with which he can do anything - literally anything - Read ur private mails, mess with your account, use your account for porn signups. The possibilities are endless. So friends pls be warned. Also those who have already submitted their passwords, immediately change them Bye
Code 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2004 Yeah that is true __ I don't think that webmaster is interested in such a thing but who knows. May be U can keep a seperate e-mail ID for using there ?
Arun 795 Report post Posted July 4, 2004 Use the service only for your secondary email purposes, which is less important. As 'gtran_rocks' pointed out, better change your password to be safe if you have already signed up. Anyway, its a very useful service for people like us and hopefully it won't be exploited by the webmasters of it
Utsav 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2004 I've been browsing through the site and found it to be ineffective for RIM
Code 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 Yeah - I think the autorefresh feature refreshing the chat window every second (the one which I tried) makes it virtually useless as U can't do anything ... (quite sometime back) Don't currently how it does though _ anyone using it succesfully?
