Change Of Number By Keeping The Existing Post Paid Plan & Customer ID on TATA Docomo

Hi all,

Presently I am on Docomo post paid plan which is a good plan and I don't want to change it. But recently I got a good number . So I want to have same old post paid plan with old customer Id by changing the mobile number only. Is it possible ?

you can have the same Relationship number (Customer ID). As far as plan is concerned, if it is an active plan, then you can have it... If it is not, then you can ask someone from Docomo store to get that plan activated on your number...

They will oblige you provided that you are a high ARPU customer.

Docomo is providing great plans here in orissa too.. even I am planning to port out from Voda postpaid to DoCoMo Postpaid :-)

Anyways did you talk to the docomo guys ? What did they say ?

You need to give a request with TATA to change your MDN, MDN change is a normal process and it does not affect your billing plans and services.

What will happen to present number after MDN change.

Does old number convert to prepaid.

afaik it will get deactivated

Old number goes to quarantine pool of the inventory and the number is later on recycled. It may be any prepaid or postpaid.
