March 15, 2005 16:04 IST Rediff.com Mobile communications giant Nokia has launched 'Capture Your Imagination', India's first national mobile imaging contest. This unique contest aims at building awareness about responsible use of mobile imaging and provides enthusiasts a first hand 'click-print-share' interactive imaging experience. The 'Capture Your Imagination' contest provides an excellent platform for individuals to capture creative images on their camera phones and win exciting prizes. The contest, which was launched in the first week of March will run for a period of six weeks and culminate with a mega imaging exhibition. The best images will be judged on the parameters of quality, likeability and creativity by the contest jury. The winner of the CYI contest with the most creative and imaginative image will receive a cash prize worth Rs 10 lakh (Rs 1 million). The 'Capture Your Imagination' contest is open to all Indian nationals over 18 years of age and will culminate with a mega imaging exhibition that will showcase the best images from the contest. To build interest for this contest Nokia has special 'Capture Your Imagination' mobile vans across more than 15 cities. These vans are supplemented by mobile imaging booths that has been set up at popular city hangouts across cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh and Pune. To ensure that the Mobile Imaging Contest is exciting and authentic, Nokia has involved eminent personalities including creative directors, fashion photographers and film personalities in the jury for this contest. The contest jury will judge the images received on parameters such as picture quality, likeability and creativity and then decide the weekly and grand finale winner. The contest will enable people to capture their best moments using Nokia camera phones and print them instantly.
