Feedback wanted for Fly Mobiles - Value For Money

Was looking for a GSM handset just to make voice calls,listen to good music and a little camera. This mobile FLY MV248 was interesting and was priced attractively at Rs 2300.

Can any member using FLY give feedback?

Do check the SAR Value of the mobile before purchasing.

SAR values are available in the booklet given with the handset only when we buy.

Mostly not available on line.

After going through the net I am still not able to figure out whether FLY is a UK company or Chinese company

FLY DS109 and FLY MV248 are excellent on spec sheet.

Fly is a European mobile phone company founded in 2003

I own a Fly DS 100 or something, (dont remember the model name), its a GSM+GSM

Battery is exactly same a Nokia BL-5C and is also swappable with a BL-5C.

Backup is just fine, with moderate talking battery last upto 48 hours.

Never read the booklet for radiation level

After reading this in Economic times I now understand Honestbhai's statement to check "SAR" value

SAR Group, makers of Wynncom brand of mobile phones, has acquired a 55% stake in UK-based Fly Mobiles' business in India and Saarc regions

But the Fly handset I have got is a 在中国 (made in china)

why you want to go for FLY ? there are other good brands liks samsung, i bet you can get same type of model in samsung .

^^^ The first reason is price.

Second reason is the roots of FLY if they are from UK (Meridian) then it should be good. I generally trust UK products.

Fly DS 109, MV 248 and GC 169 are largely attractive at their price
