anujit 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2005 BSNL has snipped the cord with RIM (probably because of non-payment of ADC fines). So I can't make/receive calls to/from BSNL (landlines or mobile) for the last 2 days in Kolkata! Strangely enough I can dial BSNL number in Mumbai!!!
imvikky 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2005 Ha just visit Pune sometime if u r free You call up a bsnl mobile no from your cell or a bsnl landline you'll get the creativity from bsnl. They do good timepass use same phone to call up same no and listen to different messages everytime... Users has switched off the cell... Out of range... His incomings are barred... (even )your outgoings are barred... All the lines to route dialed by you are busy... And maximum no of times all you get is a busy tone.. Point to be noted is all this time the cell phone user at other end gets a fuill signal and can make calls to you...

anujit 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2005 The "mystery" has been solved (apparently). Calcutta Telephone personnel are on strike and they have severed connections to all non-BSNL phones between 10am-5pm since yesterday! However Airtel & Tata Indicom continues to enjoy services even today (this is the 2nd day of the strike)! Lousy b@$t@rd$!
