Reliance has launched Haier CG 220 CDMA + GSM dual stand by handset. Details at - http://www.rcom.co.in/rcom/handset/handset_details.jsp?HANDSET=Haier%20CG%20220&IMAGE=haierCG220&PRICE=7

Looks kind of OK set. The banner at RCOM website handset page http://www.rcom.co.in/rcom/handset/overview.jsp says that a benefit of 1GB/mon data for 6 months is available, but the Web world guys are unaware of this and selling this without any new connection for 2100 (more than listed on RCOM website price of 1999 :P )

Here is the photo of CG 220

What about HTC OVE SV? The description of this handset says that this supports both CDMA + GSM. Anyone has any information about this model or used this model?

Neither of them. You can buy much better specs/quality CDMA handset for similar budget range from the RIMWeb Forum.

MTS Duet CDMA and GSM dual SIM phone outed in India for Rs 4.799

MTS has launched the Duet in the Indian market which seems to have a never-ending appetite for dual SIM smartphones that hit the right spot when it comes to price. The handset supports CDMA as well as GSM networks, something the company explains to be its ‘strategy to offer greater choice’ to users.

Since we’re talking about a wallet-friendly option with the MTS Duet, the specifications are obviously not going to be high end. The phone works on the Android platform, or Gingerbread v2.3 to be more precise. It gets its kicks from a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon chip and stays juiced up through a 1200mAh battery. The company hasn’t let out the talk time users can expect between charges.

The front panel of the MTS Duet plays host to a 3.5-inch (that’s 8.8cm) display of the capacitive touch sort. It throws out visuals in an HVGA resolution of 320 x 480p. A 3MP camera sits on the rear side and there’s no front lens. No word on the RAM or internal memory, but potential customers can expect a microSD card slot for expanding the hoarding space up to 32GB.

Not many features of the MTS Duet have been revealed at present. But if our guess is as good as anyone else’s there’s not much to ogle at anyway. The company’s Chief Marketing and Sales Officer for the country, Leonid Musatov, says that part from this CDMA- and GSM-happy dual SIM handset, there are plans to launch many more dual mode devices.

The MTS Duet is available in India for Rs 4.799. The company is offering it with a tempting deal for unlimited data and local calls over 2 months. Interested buyers can choose to sign up for this bundle that costs Rs 599.

Key specs of the phone:

- Android Gingerbread 2.3
- 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 processor
- 3.5-inch display of 320 x 480p HVGA resolution and capacitive touch
- 3MP camera
- Dual SIM: CDMA and GSM networks
- 32GB expandable memory
- 1200mAh battery

^^^^^

They are thinking that Grand, S Duos, Ace_Duos, at the MAX Mega5.8 Duos is more than enough for us...

But these higher end DualSIM variants are always available exclusively in China for years (S2 Dual, S3 Dual, Note2 Dual, now the S4 Dual). Even I tried Note2_Dual for my relative through KTD (by his friend who is on short official trip to China), but those store people there asked for passports, Visa-copy, etc for getting one. Its better to get them through some local people only. Some sites like talkatone or something are selling to other countries for ridiculous price like 999$ (N7102--Note2 3Gsm+2Gsm) and they don't accept Paypal.
