KanagaDeepan 1,084 Report post Posted May 2, 2012 CDMA operators have nicely killed the plus point/purpose of OMH RUIM... First RCom, then TataCdma and finally MTS too.... In real, only CDMA operators are killing CDMA technology for their GREEDINESS....
krishnendu halder 24 Report post Posted May 3, 2012 cdma operators did not spend a single penny for 3g ut still there tariffs are almost simillar to 3g! @abhisekghosh what does that mean?old customers can get evdo for 140 but not new ones!?mts want to kill themselves

Saiesh 12 Report post Posted May 29, 2012 The only question arises why one should use CDMA? Call rates all most all GSM and CDMA operator provide the same Data Cdma costlier the GSM, all most all operators offer 1GB for 250. Coverage ---- in par with the old GSM Player. Handset --- need not say wide variety in GSM.
sougatadc 358 Report post Posted May 29, 2012 ^ The reasons are clarity in voice and very steady data even if the tariff remains same for voice and data for GSM and CDMA.
rajanmehta 4,056 Report post Posted May 29, 2012 ^ ^ ^ In addition to that, another reason would be imported CDMA android smartphones available at upto 50% less cost then similar spec / model GSM counterparts.
KanagaDeepan 1,084 Report post Posted May 29, 2012 (edited) OFF-Topic: ^^^^^^ Rajan ji, that advantage also holds true for GSM also considering the world phones and other 3GSM imported handsets from our reputed sellers here in Rimweb... Further GSM imported handsets can be changed frequently by changing SIMs, while in CDMA only few imported OMH supported (by means of tweaking) foreign handsets has that facility... Ironically, almost all those CDMA-RUIM enabled foreign handsets support GSM also... OnTopic:- Further this thread is a good example of "Having OMH enabled foreign handsets is NOT enough"....
