nikme 177 Report post Posted May 19, 2012 Gsm radio finally unlocked for droid razr,droid 4 and razr maxx(havent tested maxx yet) Now these A-list phones are truly global. why wait for verizon to release there global rom when we can do it right now. 1.Data-Working over edge 2.Messaging-Working 3.Calling-Working without any issues 4.USSD-Not Working 5.Cdma Omh-Havent Tested yet though it should work will try it and update here So how we do it step-1 root your phone with motofail step-2 install bootstrap recovery step-3 download this zip file and put it into the root of your memory card step-4 boot into recovery and install the zip manually step-5 put your micro sim in the sim card slot and resatrt in few seconds it will recognise it and will start showing network bars step-6 manually enter apn setting for data tweak a little bit according to your need and you have a working gsm phone in your hand will update soon about cdma omh possibilities Using droid 4 since 2 days and its working flawlessly. KapilAgrawal 340 Report post Posted May 20, 2012 Droid Bionic is the first handset which got GSM working and this made way for Developers to try Droid Razr & D4, But it does not work with all SIM cards. Options are limited. May be we get a Custom ROM soon specially for GSM. Till than its not so reliable. Yes CDMA omh does work flawlessly. Data can also be made to work. nikme 177 Report post Posted May 20, 2012 @javed Droid razr already tested and working fine @kapil I think its reliale as I have tested with airtel and vodafone microsim no issues with them Don't have other microsim in hand to test and voice quality was not a problem with these operator Yes this was started for bionic by manually entering the string with radicomm but droid 4 is sucess as per what I have tested. @parin bhai maxx pe testing karlo aur kisi ke paas to razr maxx milega nahi aapko hi test karna padega. If you got success for Razr, then that same procedure ditto applies for MAXX also, as both are using same ROM, everything from the beginning... sanjay0501 35 Report post Posted May 25, 2012 ^^^ thats strange, thought the only difference in razr and razr maxx was the battery and even the roms are same. My Razr Maxx did work but no data, and calls showed error of "OUTGOING CALLS ARE RESTRICTED BY FDN".
