vb86 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2005 I have a small network at home. Three comps connected throug an 8 port switch and the dsl cat5 wire also goes into one of the ports. All 3 comps have XP loaded on them. They are on the same worgroup. Me and my brothers share multimedia content on them. Now the thing is, when anyone clicks on my comp in workgroups, they dont need to enter a password. For the other to comps, a password is required. For the 1st comp, i put administrator as the login name and leave the password blank and it works. For the 2nd(new pc) the login is stuck as ****/guest and cannot be changed. Even the win logon password doesn't work which he uses on the welcome screen. Even i have a login pass for my windows yet they aren't asked to login. How can i disable the password authentication on both their pcs so that the login window doesnt pop up when i click on their comps under view workgroup comps. Note: all of us have disabled guest account. Please help.
