Nirvana 4 Report post Posted May 23, 2012 Some ISPs do insert such ads when installing their connection software. Which ISP do you use? It could also have been installed by some other software with malicious intention.
neerajayshree 36 Report post Posted May 23, 2012 Check for any s/w on ControlPannel > Programs Add Features for any kind of Program which might be like Bar etc. From the screen shot you provided i can see that you also have Fierfox if this same Advertisement is appearing in fierfox also then it can be installed by your ISP like sugested by Austin. Else it has to be in Programs and Features.

Karthik R 246 Report post Posted May 23, 2012 Saurav, shift to Chrome or Firefox for a faster and overall better user experience. The ads you mentioned appearing in web pages can be blocked by add-ons and extension features offered by these browsers. In Google Chrome, install AdBlock With Firefox you would need Adblock Plus add-on. There are other alternatives like Adsweep and Flashblock but I found the above to do a more effective job. Pls guide how to get rid of it What rights does your ISP has to insert his adverts in your data streams? Aren't they breaching your communication? Friends, please give your opinion if some legal remedy may be sought as a customer. And if these adverts are counted in the user's data usage, this is surely a criminal act on part of the ISP.
