Need urgent help.

My Gnex is trying to download a system update (98MB size). But after downloading the whole file, the file fails verification and then download starts afresh.

It is thus going into downoad loops. For the time being, I am keeping mobile data off.

How to get rid of this loop?

I am using AWESOME SPRINT GALAXY NEXUS on Reliance network.

Now, I need help on 3 things

1. How do I take backup of Relaince (including EvDo) network settings.?

There is an app called APN Backup & Restore. Its not working, So suggest me other ways to backup.

Anyone tried. . . WugFresh - Nexus Root Toolkit? Is it reliable?

Help me the best ways to backup network settings.

2. How do I program 1x Data? I.e. I have EvDo data settings

As every nexus user knows. Battery management is issue. And when I enable Data (EvDo). It eats lot of battery.

So, I would like know how to program 1x data. Please help me.

3. Broken glass

I got a bad crack at the bottom- right corner. Touch and everything is working fine.

I don’t want to replace whole digitizer (as it costs more than Rs 8-12K). As it’s better to buy new phone rather than spending to replace digitizer.

So, just want to replace the top glass (Ebay price range Rs 2-3k). I saw a Youtube video to replace front glass, but I want to take help of technician.

Please help me with the experts in Mumbai who can do the same.

WugFresh - Nexus Root Toolkit is OK, but dont know, how it will backup your EVDO settings.

for EVDO settings , you may try via tools

for 2nd Q, there is an app for that, but in 1x battery loss will be even more or less same.

for 3 q - you can get this done by any repair vala , but get it done infront for you only.

I don't know how to take backup through VIA tool.

And unfortunately, I have lost my all network configuration.

I have SPRINT CDMA MENU APP, using the same I have configured my number for Call and texts.

Now I need help how to configure EvDo using the APP. Even I can setup data using prl.

It would be great if anyone can help me with mumbai - reliance prl. Or any other method to setup Evdo.

Gurus , I moved from prepaid to postpaid few days back and using galaxy nexus with reliance. AFter doing * 228 my phone prl got updated .

Now i am getting 3x signals only . when i move in 1x covergae area i am not getting any signals in my phone. please help me in this issue.

What do mean by 3x signal? also ,can we get latest prl for reliance for our other phones. How it is different/better from current prl ?

by 3x he mean EVDO signals, (EV)

as a part of OTA ,*228 may update PRL on phone,

we can read PRL from nexus and copy it for other phones.

PRL only contains signal type and frequency channels etc...it wont help you getting better signals

All sprint cdma radio are fine for data, even new radio GA02 works perfectly for evdo.

Only catch is they work fine on verizon gnex not on sprint gnex.

Might be LTE radio is blocking data for us.

Also for using Verizon nexus on reliance or Tata, you will need LTE SIM card from Verizon or us cellular, actually any LTE SIM should work.

I have recently bought Sprint Galaxy Nexus, but I have not getting any data (neither 1X nor EVDO) so I programmed using VIA ETS tools using the script ment for Reliance but still I am not getting internet.

And when I use VIA tools to program the device, I cant make or recieve calls/ msgs etc, to get it back to normal I have contacted RWorld and transferd the number to UIM then back to the device.

Can some one help me to get internet on my deivce?

have you edited the data script as per your data.?

you need to add your min / mdn / HDR user name and pass in it ,

Yes, I did that, changed the "1234567890" with my phone number and replaced with my EVDO username and password too. But still no internet.
