Regards, Shameer 29076[/snapback] Dear sir, we sincerely regret the inconvenience caused to you. i think you are doing it wrongly when installing. kindly follow the below listed procedure inorder to install the cable, * install the "pl-2303 usb serial driver" * restart your pc * now plug your cable to the usb port of your pc * now your usb cable will be converted to a serial port cable find the com port to which the cable has been connected by going through the system properties in control panel. * reliance mobile will be usualy gets activated at com4. hence make sure the comport is 4. * now start your installation as done for a serial cable. hence download the serial software from reliance website link given below, http://www.relianceinfo.com/webapp/Infocom...nectdetails.jsp * now run the serial r-connect software for reliance handset and you will find your mobile is coonected and your internet is activated. impotant notes: donot plug the cable before installing the drivers. abhi182 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2005 Huh, i too got into this issue, and what a pain it was to resolve it.... Anyway, my 2 cents..... One common misconcepton among vendors (cable sellers) is that both 2130 and 2030 have the same pin configuration and a USB cable for 2030 will run on a 2130 too.... Unfortunately, that's not the case..... Apparently, the serial cable for the 2030 can be used for the 2130 too, but the USB cable for 2130 is different..... I assume u r getting stuck at the step where you have to choose the port on R-Connect installer...and even after selecting the correct port (COM3/4), ur phone will not get detcted...sorry sir, ur only option is to change the cable..... My vendor did not agree to the fact that the cable for 2030 is not the same as 2130...I had to take my laptop along to prove it to him and only then did he return me the money.... I then had to hunt around for the cable again and every1 gave me the same 2030 cale which refused to work..... I finally managed to track one dealer who knew the difference and gave me the right cable, which worked as a breeeze
bayankaran 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2005 I am having the same problem. Even after installing the PL2303 program the cable is recognized only as a USB DATA Cable - not as a USB-Serial cable. So the next steps of installing the dialer applications fail. I dont know if it is the problem with the software (tried different versions of the PL2303 installer) or a problem with the win XP installation.
