Google Hidden Secrets

Recommended Posts

1. I just came across googlex with the Mac Os X style menu,

http://www.theplaceforitall.com/googlex/

That looks neat! I wonder why they took it down.

I'd guess they're scared of Apple suing them. Apple do have a patent on those fancy icon h4x.

2. If you type Google Hacker in the search, you can go to this search page:

http://www.google.com/intl/xx-hacker/

3. Just add this to your site and you have a google search bar :

<!-- Search Google -->
<center>
<FORM method=GET action="http://www.google.com/search">
<input type=hidden name=ie value=UTF-8>
<input type=hidden name=oe value=UTF-8>
<TABLE bgcolor="#FFFFFF"><tr><td>
<A HREF="http://www.google.com/">
<IMG SRC="http://www.google.com/logos/Logo_40wht.gif"
border="0" ALT="Google" align="absmiddle"></A>
<INPUT TYPE=text name=q size=25 maxlength=255 value="">
<INPUT type=submit name=btnG VALUE="Google Search">
</td></tr></TABLE>
</FORM>
</center>
<!-- Search Google -->

4. Now u can also view GMail in HTML format.

There will be an option to switch between Standard and HTML down by the "You are currently using XX MB (X%) of your 1000 MB." indicator at the bottom...

Currently it uses javascript to make it 'fun to use'...

So now u can access Gmail on PDA also, recently it couldn't because of the browser issue.
