Unable to receive SMS delivery report on Samsung Galaxy / Google Nexus Sprint L700

i am not able to see the delivery report after sending sms.. can somebody help?

there arent many users of this device hence i didnt find a thread , and started with my doubts

On ICS, there are no delivery reports but on JB, its there.

Don't know the reason why.

Both the times i have used stock sms app.
