Ashokjp 15 Report post Posted March 9, 2004 Hi cspn, I think u should take it to LG service centre.. Maybe it would be fine after a soft flash... Anyways.. tutorials were for Lg 2030 and even for tat enough warnings were given by the individuals..
cspn 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2004 Can't I do the flashing myself ??
Ashokjp 15 Report post Posted March 9, 2004 Can't I do the flashing myself ?? I dont know whether you would be able to do the software flash by urself bcz u would need the right flash file and the exact software to write the stuff.. Even if u have both.. there are chances of loosing the data u have in it.. If its in service centre.. they will have all the required stuff with them... And It would be better if u have it done by them..
Chirag 5 Report post Posted March 9, 2004 no dude.. dont get into it.. jus go to the Service Center tomo between 10 and 7 and they'll do it for free... Dont get into more trouble. cspn 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2004 The service centre guy tells me that the PCB has gone bad and needs to be replaced. He says there is no way of upgrading the software as the phone is not coming to the menu itself. But I wonder through software how can you corrupt the hardware, unless you do some destructive physical process..
Chirag 5 Report post Posted March 10, 2004 hmm.. so did they ask u for any money? or did they replace it and give it to u?
cspn 0 Report post Posted March 11, 2004 They are asking for Rs 5000 to me. But they told that I can claim insurance though and get it back.
Ashokjp 15 Report post Posted March 11, 2004 I have heard tat when they replace battery and when we claim insurance we arent give the full amount.. Some percent is deducted.. Not sure abt this.. I think you should confirm tat too
cspn 0 Report post Posted March 11, 2004 Yeah, the insurance amount will be about 97 %. Which is pretty ok.
