joshm 818 Report post Posted September 22, 2012 Thanks Sanjay ji way to go !! to you too , you hav been havin quite some fun with your gadgets , arent you ok got hold of a cream of a setup , applied many twaeks and i can say i am on a utterly smooth and awesome lookung ROM atm applied some great tweaks to get a balance of battery backup ( still testing ) and smooth sailing. gonna give it couple of days more to declare and shre till then please keep using your FI03 debloated , structure with agat's FI03 stock kernel with safe recovery coz that will be our starting point from now on just make a nandroid now. @ Amit : why dont you simply try flashing the full data wipe ODIN version and see if this fixes your issue. and you can start over from there again > i am sure now you can reach the last step pretty quick . regards

sliver1 102 Report post Posted September 23, 2012 Hi joshm. Im trying to flash the recovery. Im getting till the step where we have to check the md5. My phone is restarting. But its just normal restart and im not getting any screen showing updation of xxx apps and stuff. I downloaded all the files again and tried. Still no success. When i press and hold vol down and power button its taking me to the screen where we have to press the vol up button to continue flashing. Like |Amit i too have lost all apps installed in the sd card.
joshm 818 Report post Posted September 23, 2012 Press volume up and power to get into recovery if you have flashed the fi03 kernel with mobile Odin Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk
sliver1 102 Report post Posted September 23, 2012 ooh yeah thanks joshm. My mistake. I was pressing and holding vol down and power button. I have managed to get into green recovery. Will make a nandroid backup and flash Calkulin's Bare ROM Converter and let you know what happens.
amitroutray 384 Report post Posted September 23, 2012 Dear Joshm I think, am going with the 1st link of Flashing ODIN FI03. The full data wipe option. Then I restore the Nandroid back up on it. Waiting for your aproval. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk
sliver1 102 Report post Posted September 24, 2012 Hi Joshm, i was able to go to green recovery and make a nandroid backup. The problem with apps installed in sd card disappearing persists. I even flashed the 1st link of flashing odin FI03, the full data wipe option even formatted my sd card in the phone itself. After all this now im not able to move apps to sd card. Is there anything else that i can do to resolve this. Could this be a problem in the FI03 rom.
joshm 818 Report post Posted September 24, 2012 well i am not able to replicate the issue at my end first tell me do you have a external card installed in the slot on ur phone ? if yes then are you able to view its contents by going into my files ? external_sd , coz thats where your card is installed by default i suggest format card with fat32 file system option and then turn off phone install card reboot and then again go to storage option and format it always make sure if you are able to access the card in external_sd
sliver1 102 Report post Posted September 24, 2012 Yes sd card is installed in the card slot of my phone and im able to browse all the files in it like music pics videos etc. There is no problem with sd card. The problem is only with apps installed in sd card. They just disappear and their shortcuts get greyed out . Now after flashing full data wipe rom im not able to move apps to sd card at all. hiteshkkk1 327 Report post Posted September 25, 2012 I would suggest all to not to move apps to sd unless they are very big games as s2 is a power horse with lots of memory. Moving apps to sd slows down phones performance. Keep as much apps u need on internal memory n enjoy your phone... joshm 818 Report post Posted September 25, 2012 Tbh I have never ever transferred any apps to SD. Although I am not having issues like that with my phone but I never did a SD transfer. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk
amitroutray 384 Report post Posted September 25, 2012 (edited) I totally agree ... Even I use ext sd card only to store music/photos/videos .. When the internal memory gets full ... i just review and delete some stuff Yes it is right. I am also doing that but your SD Card should work with your phone. some apk is there they only require SD card storage. in that case when installing it comes with a ERROR message and ABORT. Then you feel the limitations. Edited September 25, 2012 by amitroutray
